It does its job and disappears. That’s fine. But there is another kind: pieces designed to be seen, to shape the room around them. That is the kind we make. We call it theatrical because rooms, like stages, deserve furniture that knows it has an audience.
We build to a brief, not a catalog. The piece serves the room, the client, and the way the day will be spent. Not a style guide, not a moodboard, not what worked last time for someone else. If the brief is good, the answer is obvious. If it isn’t, we keep asking.
We build slowly because the material requires it. Wood moves. Joinery wants time. Finishes only behave once they’re fully cured. We don’t romanticize patience. We just refuse to rush past the part that matters.
We take on a small number of projects each year. Not for scarcity, because that is the rate at which we can do this well. Anything more would be a different kind of company.
